With being a vet with that inter fer with my personal life?

I am doing a project at my school and a would just really like to no so that i can add it to my project and i get a A.With being a vet with that inter fer with my personal life?Unless you join a veterinary practice that has several vets to share the "out of hours" cover, then you will be pretty much on call 24 hours a day.

Yes it will DEFINITELY interfere with your "personal" life, you won't have one. With being a vet with that inter fer with my personal life?
It depends on if you are going to be the sole Vet in a mixed practice or if you are going to have partners in say a small animal practice. animals, like people don't get sick during office hours, or stay healthy on Holidays. Some will require lengthy surgery's then you have to stay and watch over their recovery, so you may miss supper. So, yes, being a Vet can and will disrupt your personal life. But if your spouse and children understand that you are doing it for defenseless animals who need help, you will be fine. Its tiring but rewarding to see a seriously ill pet go home, or help a new life into the world. With being a vet with that inter fer with my personal life?I think all jobs affect a person's personal life to some extent. I'm sure you already have a love for animals.. Being a vet, you'd see some injured and sad cases that I'm sure would be hard to forget and just leave your thoughts at the office. So there would likely be days in your home life when you'd be thinking about some of your patients or other aspects of the job. Also, if you're an emergency or on-call vet, you can get called in at any time so that may interfere with your personal life some. Overall though, it wouldn't be too bad..and I'm sure is well worth it :) Good luck. With being a vet with that inter fer with my personal life?
Depends,a lot of vets do out of hours call outs for emergencies,so you could be called out at all hours of the morning.

You could also get very upset at having to put family pets to sleep,or angry at owners teatment of animals, which no doubt you would want to discuss with your family.

Also, when training (I wanted to be a vet),you need to have very high grades across all your subjects,so the whole process of studying etc, will take up a lot of your time if you want to succeed.I'm afraid, although I had very high biology marks, the rest of my grades just didn't cut it.With being a vet with that inter fer with my personal life?It depends on what you do as a veterinarian. Many emergency veterinarians and surgeons are "on call" an can be called in to do surgery at any time. Many other veterinarians, your simple "day practice" vets, only work normal office hours, thus allowing them to have a life outside of work. With being a vet with that inter fer with my personal life?
Vet School will be your life and I would hope that if you wanted to become a veterinarian, you would plan your life around doing what you loved doing. It should become your life!
Of course it will. Every job interferes with your personal life no matter how minute.
