Even though Mourinho likes the 4-4-2, I think this can work better. Cambiasso will play holding midfielder at most times so he will play more defensive but he will attack when needed, giving space for Thiago Motta. But Zanetti is not like Thiago Motta, therefore instead of attacking, he will give that job to Maicon, and since Zanetti can play at right back (prefered position), Maicon is like playing RW the whole game but still defending. Milito, Eto'o and Balotelli is better than having Balotelli and Ibrahimovic at front, 2 strikers vs 3 strikers who equally correspond makes sense. Santon is very young so he will be on attack mode as well. Maicon will be feeding most of the passes/crosses to Milito, Eto'o and Balotelli, a big advantage.

What formation should inter use now?Whts the point? you guys aint going anywhere far. :)What formation should inter use now?4-4-2 is Mourinho's only option, Millito and especially Eto'o can't be used on any other position than in front of the goal, Eto'o is USELESS if he is not 10 meters from goal. Inter needs AMF to feed Eto'o and Millito with balls.What formation should inter use now?Mourinho will most likely use 4-4-2 as his primary formation but change it around when he puts Balotelli or Quaresma or Mancini in the game.
