How can you get a inter district permit for south pasadena high school ?

Are there any requirements ?How can you get a inter district permit for south pasadena high school ?Here's from another answer I just posted, the answer is still the same. It is almost impossible to get a permit for South Pas, and it is very late. The process begins in the beginning of May.

It is VERY difficult for a non-resident of South Pasadena to get a permit to attend the school, they care A LOT that the students are residents. First, there needs to be space, which tends to be very iffy. Secondly, they are very careful about not allowing non-residents to attend without a permit. You have to go get released from your current school district, which they may not want to do because they get paid by student, so you are taking money from them, so some school districts are not giving releases now, or make it difficult.

Then you must apply to South Pas in the beginning of May, and they don't tell you if you got in until a day or so before school starts at the end of August. That is because students may move into the district over the summer so they don't want to give away a resident student's space. Usually they have far more permit applications than they will approve, they must also leave space in case students move to South Pas during the school year. Also, your grades and test scores are considered, they only allow good students to transfer. They say you need a minimum GPA of 2.5+ in high school, but in reality they have more B+ and A students apply than they have spaces, and a good student will get in over a not-so-good student. You must re-apply each year you want a permit for South Pas schools.

When you go to register at South Pasadena, it's a two step (or three step for unusual circumstances) process for a resident. Your parents go and turn in 3 proofs of residency for pre-registration, then the school district checks out those proofs to make sure they are valid, then your parents go in again for registration. You cannot use a friend's address as they will find out. If there is any question as to if you are truly a resident, they actually do a surprise home visit. If a student is living with someone other than the parent, or supposedly their family is living with another family (dual residency), the district does surprise home visits to check that you actually live there, and the parents must go to the district office in advance to get it approved in advance of pre-registration.

Non-residents need to get a permit, and there is a priority system as to who they give permits to, in this order:

Parent is an employee of the school district.

Parent is a full time employee of the City of South Pas business, or owns a business in South Pas.

Parent owns commercial or residential real estate in South Pas.

Parent works for the South Pas post office.

Parent works full time for a South Pas business.

All others.

The people who pay taxes in the city of South Pasadena, and donate a lot of money (unlike most public school districts) and spend many hours volunteering don't think it's fair for someone who hasn't done any of those things to take advantage of the good schools. The schools are more crowded and they are having money problems, so they are being more careful than ever because it affects their property values, as the prices on houses are higher due to the good schools.

Good luck!
