Depending on what you鈥檙e in the mood for, you might want to try some of these. Sonar isn鈥檛 exactly too close to the Inner Harbor. Of all of these, Red Fish would probably be the longest drive, but even then, it鈥檒l take you 10 minutes, at most, in crappy traffic.

Stylish, four floor caf茅 that serves coffee, sushi, desserts, breakfast all day, and other tidbits. It also has a full bar and a DJ on the top floor who spins on the weekends. Open late (~2 am?). Great place to hang out or grab a quick bite after clubbing. Food is good, and it鈥檚 usually busy.

Seafood is their specialty, but they have lots of other yummy menu items. A little pricey, but cozy and delicious.

The classic Baltimore diner, featured on the Food Network. Typical diner comfort food and a favorite of locals and visitors alike. Mmmm鈥?waffles鈥?

I really enjoy the ESPN Zone. It's not really small, but its defiantly different. They have an arcade upstairs. (the food wasn't bad either). Good Luck finding what you're looking for.Where are good, local places to eat in downtown Baltimore?
The restaurant Charleston (owned by Cindy Wolf) is absolutely fantastic. Cindy was nominated for the James Beard best chef: mid-Atlantic this past year. The food and wine list were superb! The ambience is probably more formal than funky.
