thinking of goin inter-railing with a few friends around europe, holland germany and eastern europe. can ye give me some advice or suggestions of things to do and places to see please.Going inter-railing across europe and would like some advice?First of all, your InterRail travel should be yours and your friends. What attracts me may be of no interest to you, but a few general tips I can give you.
If you travel with friends, lets each write down what he/she expects, where are the places he wants to go and the things he wants to do there.
Like if one person just wants to go to the beach and discos, the second insist on all visiting all museums and the third only wants to drink and go to all hardrock festivals it will not be a successful holiday.
It is often easier to combine your money and hold only one purse for the trip, but do not put all your money in, as if something goes wrong between you, only one person can keep on traveling. Better is to either pay in turn and keep track of what each pays, or to put new money in, each, when the kitty gets empty, like 鈧?00 each time, or whatever the local money is.
If you are low on money, remember that smaller towns are almost always much cheaper than capital cities, hostels often the cheapest places to sleep, but if you travel with 4 or 6, you can often rent an apartment for less that it would cost to pay for 6 places in a hostel.
(So, look or ask for the cheapest options when you make your bookings, or arrive at the tourist information office.)
I have answered many questions about InterRailing, and mostly it is easier if the question is more detailed.

But there are many more questions and answers on this site about traveling around Europe, just read in the older questions or search on InterRail or Eurail.
