Why are inter-ethnic relationships more common than ever before?

Britain currently has one of the highest rates of inter-ethnic marriages in Europe. This is a relatively new trend though. I am mixed-race and my boyfriend is white and some people have asked me why I think we work. I usually can't answer the question, other than to say that the very slight difference in cultures probably compliments the relationship.

I'm interested to hear why you think that inter-ethnic relationships are more prominent than ever and why you think the work (or not).Why are inter-ethnic relationships more common than ever before?maybe because now more than ever do people live in cities, this means that more people will be exposed to people of different cultures, ethnicities, races, nationalities and creeds than ever before!!

Either that or the person wants mixed babies and feel they are gorgeous or because it's cool.
