Hey i was wondering i just got a new Computer is a Dual Core Processor when i right click on my computer and click propeties it says its 1.7gz so is it 1.7ghz x2 or is it just 1.7ghz flat??What does Inter Core duo Processor mean?Well it has 2 processors in it. (That is what duo means. There are also quad versions with 4 processing cores.)
So essentially it is 1.7Ghz x2.
A common mistake is to think that this will perform as 3.4 GHz which is also not true. Having multiple cores just allows you to multitask better. Most software is not written to span across two cores, so when you open a program it still only runs on one core. Lots of newer software, especially games are making use of the 2nd core, and over time this is going to become incredibly useful, but for now don' t think that you can do things faster...you can just do more things at once without slowing your system to a crawl. What does Inter Core duo Processor mean?Yes.
now go futher, right click computer go to hardware and then device manager, look for the processor and it should have 2 processors mentioned underneth it.
Have a nice day. What does Inter Core duo Processor mean?http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intel_CoreWhat does Inter Core duo Processor mean?
1.7gh x2 because there are 2 cores. (ie, 2 brains)
