AL fans and NL fans? How much do you watch the other league play aside from inter-league games?

I'm asking because a lot of my friends find the NL boring and will only watch a team like the Mets at most because they are on the east coast.AL fans and NL fans? How much do you watch the other league play aside from inter-league games?I am a Braves fan and watch both leagues when I can. However, real baseball is played only on the NL because of the DH rule in the AL. Those who think NL baseball is boring are those who enjoy seeing balls leave the ballpark every other at-bat and think pitchers shouldn't hit because they don't do it very well. That is not the way the game should be played. Sure, a walkoff homer can be really exciting, but what I find exciting is watching a batter try for third on a ball hit in the gap, or agonize with the manager whether or not the pitcher should be pulled for a pinch hitter. AL pitchers don't have to step into the batter's box, so you will rarely see someone throw behind a batter's head a la Kyle Farnsworth.AL fans and NL fans? I'm mostly a Rays fan, but I'll watch the NL when I find the matchup interesting (and it happens to be televised in my area). I also watch the Cubs with some regularity because 1) my roommate is a Cubs fan 2) they are on a nationally broadcast channel, unlike most other teams 3) they are really fun to watch this year. I don't find the NL to be any more or less interesting than the AL. Really the only factors that determine if I watch a game on TV are if my team is playing, and if not how good the two teams playing are.AL fans and NL fans? How much do you watch the other league play aside from inter-league games? My preference is the NL, and when I have the choice I usually watch the NL games. However I am a huge baseball fan and watch what ever is on, including college and high school games. I like the NL more because it is more in depth. There are a lot on intricacies that are lost in the DH league such as the hit and run, double switch, and the sacrifice bunt to name a few. I like to watch teams that make stuff happen, and not just wait around for the three run bomb. Right now, I would say that the Giants are my favorite team to watch, because the are very aggressive on offensive. In the American league, the Rays are one of my favorites to watch. I really don't like watching Red Sox and Yankees game because there is very little action on the offensive side, it is mostly just guys swinging out of there shoes, little to no strategy. However, I take every opportunity to watch Manny Ramirez's at bats because I think he is the best hitter in the league, and he definitely has a plan of attack at every at bat. Baseball is more than just home runs, and people who are fans of AL only are really cheating themselves out of the unique strategy that baseball presents. I hope the DH is repealed soon because I don't want MLB to turn into the NBA, when it is basically a pick up game or a home run derby with no strategy or game management.
I'm a NL fan but I love the Yankees, hate the Bosox. I try to catch all their games. I find the NL more exciting because the pitcher has to bat and that brings more strategy into the game. When to pull him for a pitch hitter? Is he a good bunter? Who will he face in the next inning? Will the opposing manager pitch hit if I pull him?Should I put in a pitch runner for him in a close game? Who have I got ready to go in the bull pen? Baseball is a game of anticipation. What's the strike ball count, should I hit and run, should I pitch out should I steal try a pick off? Their is so many variables when you have the pitcher in the game. You can keep your AL, I"ll stick with the NL. BASEBALL THE WAY IT SHOULD BE!!!AL fans and NL fans? How much do you watch the other league play aside from inter-league games?Though my fav. team (the Angels) play in the A.L., I always watch both leagues. I am a fan of all baseball and like to make predictions and keep track of what teams are hot and what players are doing well that way come October, I can generally predict who is going to win the WS.AL fans and NL fans? How much do you watch the other league play aside from inter-league games?
Honestly, not a lot. If I'm waiting for Texas to come on and a NL team is playing, I'll watch cuz I can stand to watch any team play. I watch almost all the playoff games and see all the WS games for sure. Then if they have a NL team on fox I'll watch them on Saturday if I'm at home.
Great question. IN all honesty, my favorite team is an AL team..and I absolutely NEVER watch the NL. I, too, tend to think its boring and seems to lack energy for the most part. I only watch NL games during interleague play and during the post season.AL fans and NL fans? How much do you watch the other league play aside from inter-league games?
Im a huge fan of the Yankees, but I can seriously watch any team play. I've turned on the Mets before, I've turned on the Braves, even the Giants when their nationally televised.

As long as its baseball, I dont care whose playing.
I like the NL, the way baseball should be played with NO DH!! But since I have ESPN, I am forced to watch the Red Sox and Yankees all of the time because thats the only two teams they show pretty much.... But I watch my Astros play as much as possible
good question i walk both leagues i live in Michigan my favorite team are the cubs i watch every chance i get and i like the the red sox's and forced to see all the tigers game the wife's family loves tigers.
I've always lived in a two league market, so it is easy to watch the other league. I don't mind watching the other league as long as it is entertaining.
Alot because I watch the White Sox and Cubs, so see both leagues all the time
Which other league is there and where has it been hiding?
